Linda Owen Brings Her Expertise To Highland Capital Management, LP

Linda Owen is the new manager of Highland’s Capital charitable giving program. Highland’s Capital program continues to expand and serve the Dallas area, they came to the realization that someone with Owen’s expertise was needed to oversee the money to ensure that it would be used to help the area in the best way possible. Highland’s Dallas Foundation supports many organizations and causes and contributes approximately $3 million dollars every year.

Owen can not help but be inspired by Highland Capital’s commitment to the Dallas area. She notes that not only do they give money to the area, but also they give of themselves in the way of their time to help a variety of programs. She is excited to be working with people who have so much dedication and she is looking forward to continuing the effort to make an important impact to the area.

Owen’s background includes being president and CEO of the Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation as well as being president and CEO of the Real Estate Council. She has also been involved in a variety of philanthropic projects that include The Family Place and the Crystal Charity Ball.

James Dondero, along with co-founder Mark Okada,founded Highland Capital in 1993.

Dondero also spends time serving on the board of directors of many companies that include MGM Studios, American Banknote Corporation, NexBank, and Cornerstone Healthcare. NexPoint Residential Trust Inc, has recently appointed Dondero to serve on their board of directors. Dondero has built up over 30 years of experience in the credit and equity markets.
