Crystal Hunt: A 21st Century Renaissance Woman

August 9, 2016Films Standard

Crystal Hunt is a renaissance woman if there ever was one. Perhaps known for her portrayal of Lizzie Spaulding in the longstanding daytime soap opera Guiding Light, Hunt has pursued a variety of acting roles, in addition to her other creative endeavors. It was clear from an early age that Hunt was destined to be an entertainer. Her parents got her involved early on in singing and acting lessons. This proved her well as she competed in pageants and began auditioning for roles in television and movies.

While she had several roles in her childhood, Hunt’s breakout came in 2003, when she was cast on Guiding Light. She went on to win two Daytime Emmys for her role in the show. Hunt later played the role of Stacy Morasco in One Life to Live. She has also appeared in several movies, including The Derby Stallion, Sydney White, and Magic Mike XXL.

Beyond performing in front of the camera, Hunt has gone on to produce as well. She made her debut in this role in 2014 as a producer for the film Talbot County, which starred her friend Dania Ramirez. Hunt also opened up a boutique shop called My pets Dream Boutique selling high-end pet supplies and accessories in her hometown of Clearwater, Texas.
